Well, you get two doses of Clare Mountain of threadBEAR this week. Yesterday, Clare posted on my blog 3 ways to style her peter pan collar (seriously, aren’t they cute?) and today, I’m posting the basic definition of a sloper on her blog. The topic of a sloper or a block is one I’ve spoken about many times. Actually, slopers, blocks, and pattern making is the crux of my blog.
There’s a lot to know about slopers and blocks. Lots upon lots and loads upon loads. Similar to a Rothko painting, break down the complex into the basics is super important. A tree can’t grow without watering its roots and pattern making and manipulation can’t be learned with an understanding of the basic shapes of a sloper or block and how/why they were created. So click below to head on over to her site and read my post.
