Best Sewing Blogs Awards: 2016

best_sewing_blogsIt’s that time of the year again. Time to host the Best Sewing Blogs Awards! If you’re a new follower, for the past 2 years, I have hosted this contest to highlight the incredible sewing bloggers who put so much time and effort into sharing what they make, and to provide a resource/list of current sewing blogs, bloggers and companies according to skill, personality and category all in one place. Even though we are all winners, these sewists deserve recognition.

To switch things up this year, top winners will receive a prize! A trophy! Not just any trophy, but a sparkly dress form made by yours truly. It’s all about the sparkle.

HOW IT WILL WORK

Between now and January 25, you can vote for your favorite blogs using this online form (please note that all categories are either a continuation of last year’s or at the suggestion of readers. In no way is one meant to offend or exclude).

  • You can vote only once, but your vote can include up to 5 names per category.
  • One person is eligible for more than one category. So, if you think “Martha” is the funniest AND fastest sewing blogger, you can nominate her for both categories.

Once voting has ended, I will tally the names and then host a run off, where you’ll decide 3-4 winners for each category.

After run off, I will publish a two-part post announcing the winners and update this page with the results. The sewist with the most votes in each category will then receive their trophy!

I’m really excited to be doing this for the 3rd year in a row, but the contest is only as good as you make it, so please vote and spread the word!

Can’t wait to see who wins! Your list is an excellent resource for those just getting into the sewing game. I’ve used it myself. Not to mention the dress forms look amazing!
