So Good, It Was Scary: Bra Making with Madalynne Recap

bra patterns

Almost as fun as the bra workshops themselves – keyword is almost – is the prepping that goes into it. Finding and writing the perfect thank you cards, figuring out the best flavor chocolate to go into goodie bags, sourcing fabric and trims to go along with the theme, and dreaming up the perfect table scape that will make everyone’s mouth water and Instagram uploads of the food spread obligatory. For yesterday’s workshop, as well as November’s, there was/will be a new theme – fall, fall, fall. Think burnt orange, rich yellows, gold and black. Just two weeks before All Hallow’s Eve, I HAD TO added glittered masks to the overall vibe. I went above and beyond this time around and also had bra making notebooks and #bramakingwithmadalynne pencils made. Because why not? Everything, including the me-made bras, were so good, it was scary. Boo!

There was only one local in the class – she was from South Jersey. The other 5 students hailed from Seattle, Chicago, Alabama, Virginia and North Carolina. It blows my mind that women travel so far to take my classes and I truly feel blessed that I am able to do these workshops every month. That I am able to this for a living!

This class was particularly skilled. Everyone’s bras turned out SO fantastic! Believe you and me, my first bra wasn’t half as good as theirs. Not even a third. Way to go Sharon, Jen, Allie, Julia, Katina and Alyssa. You ladies rocked it.

So cheers to another successful (and sold out) bra workshop. On to the next one! November is sold out, but there are spots left for December. Sign up now!
