Bra Making with Madalynne 2016: Register Now!

I never expected my bra workshops to be as successful as they have been. Not to mention a heck of a lot of fun. I remember sitting with Anna, who co-hosted the first session, discussing possible sewing workshops. Basic sewing 101? Pant fitting? How to make a jacket? Then, I lightly threw out the idea of a bra making workshop not thinking she would be interested. I was wrong. ALL WRONG! She more than like the idea, she loved it, and last February, we hosted the first one. I cannot believe believe that next Saturday will be the fourth. Time flies when you’re making bras yo!

With the last session of 2015 next weekend, it’s now time to announce the schedule for 2016. I’m only announcing the first half of the year, the latter half will be revealed later.

Next year is going to be super exciting. In addition to a  soft cup workshop, I’ll also be going international by teaching in London. Read all the deets below!

Dates, Time and Locations

Bra Making with Madalynne: Soft Bra // February 6 from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM // Madalynne Studios in Philadelphia
Switching things up, students will make a soft cup bra like Noelle or Edie. Specific pattern will be determined once class is full.

Bra Making with Madalynne: Underwire // April 9 from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM // Madalynne Studios in Philadelphia
This class will be exactly like the other previous bra making workshops. Students will make a full band, underwired bra.

Bra Making with Madalynne: London // May 21 + 22 from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM // New Craft Society in London, England
I will be partnering with The New Craft House in London England to teach 2 days of bra making! On May 21 and May 22, we will hold 2 separate classes. For each one, students will make a full band, underwire bra.

The workshop is open to 10-15 students per class/day and you can sign up using the links above. After 15 have signed up, you will be put on a waiting list. Installment payments are available upon request.

Depending on the class, students will make a soft bra or a full band, underwired bra. Once the class has been filled, students will be notified with the particular bra pattern that will be used and asked to find their size (they’ll receive information on how to do this). That way, students will have their pattern cut and ready for them the day of. Please note that this workshop will only cover construction, not fit. If you want help with fit and pattern corrections after the class, I am more than willing to help in-person and/or via email.

Some sewing knowledge is required. If you know you’re way around a machine and can thread it, you’re good to go. While I strongly suggest that you bring your own machine, machines will be available for those who cannot bring their own. Please let me know when you register so I can have one set up for you.

All pattern and supplies are included in class fee.

This will not be an ordinary class; it will be a workshop event. Just some of what you can expect throughout the day include a catered lunch, treats, refreshments, swag bags, give away, photo ops and more. Just see all the goodies students received here.

Unfortunately, refunds are not available. If you are unable to attend, I suggest selling your ticket on Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #bramakingwithmadalynne

Traveling from out of town and need accommodation recommendations? Not a problem! Email me when you register and I’ll set you up with the best places to stay, eat and shop around Philadelphia.

Hopefully, I’ll be seeing you soon!

Hey, I’m really interested in signing up for the London workshop but I’m a bit nervous about paying the money, only to be put on the waiting list because it’s full! Are you able to say whether there are places left on either of those dates? Thanks!

The London class is not full, so if you sign up and pay, you’re guaranteed a spot. You can email me at maddie@madalynne.com if you have any additional questions. Hopefully, I’ll be seeing your ticket come through!
