New Year

Loves, can you believe it’s the new year? 2012? It truly was a great holiday. I caught up with old and dear friends, spent loads of time with my family, wore some great outfits (click here for pictures), and overdosed on everything pumpkin (perfume, pie, candles…). I’m sad that it’s over but the fact that it comes once a year and that I have to wait and pine for it for 11 months makes this time so special.

So in lieu of the New Year, I picked out my favorite outfits from the last twelve months. I thumb through many magazines and read lots and lots of blogs and these are the outfits that when I saw them, I just fell in love with. So in love I was with these outfits that for each one, I printed pictures of the ensemble (many views and angles too) and glued them into my notebook. For inspiration, for future projects, or for whatever, I just wanted to keep a snapshot of these outfits forever.

Clockwise from top
Alexa Chung wearing Louis Vuitton at Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2011 fashion show. Okay, so this outfit was worn more than a year ago but I still think about it. Now that’s a good outfit.

Carey Mulligan wearing Prabal Gurung at the British Independent Film Awards. Simple and organic. And the color is just stunning, isn’t it?

Emma Stone on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno wearing a Dolce and Gabanna dress, leopard pumps, and red lips. Quirky patterns and colors but a simple silhouette. Again, stunning.

Alexa Chung, again (I just love her style), wearing Chanel at Chanel’s cruise fashion show. Gamine, cute, but not too childish… only Alexa can pull off this look.

Sarah Jessica Parker wearing Prabal Gurung on Late Night with David Letterman. Simple and elegent yet bold and statement-worthy. It’s fabulous.
