Paris and Bra Making with Madalynne Workshop Update

weekend_05_01

If you haven’t heard, I’m going to Paris this July. It will be my first time out of the country and I’m so excited to be in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Julie and I decided on Saturday, July 11 in the afternoon to meet up to fabric shop. If you’ll be in the area or are willing to travel, let me know in the comments below or email me. I’d love to meet!

Also, I’ll be announcing the dates of my next THREE workshops next week. If you’d like to be added to the list of peopleΒ who will get early access to register, email me! The first workshop was a total success, and I’m so excited to continuing hosting them.

Oh, I’ve been swooning over that lace. Is it as nice as it looks? Wish I was going to Paris with friends!

I’m a new follower to your blog – it’s pretty funny that I’ll be flying to Paris from Italy on the 11th! I’ll be running around with the family, but I was planning on going to the stores in Montmartre at some point after that. Let us know where you shop!!

How funny! I totally understand being with your family and there’s no pressure to meet up. Are you on IG? I’ll keep tabs while we’re both in the city to see if our paths cross. That would be so awesome!

Congratulations, Paris is always exciting! I’m sure you’ll have a very awesome local guide in Julie but in case you’re interested, I recently wrote a post about my recent trip there, just my little two cents’: https://andsewilearnt.wordpress.com/2015/05/09/solo-fabric-shopping-in-paris/ Have fun on your trip!

This is fantastic! Thanks so much for sharing. How lucky were you to spend an entire day fabric shopping along! I often get distracted when I’m with other people. In your opinion, what would be the best place to get lace fabric? I want exquisite lace!

I’m no expert but I did see some beautiful chantilly lace by the bolt in Les Coupons des Saint Pierre. It’s the 5 (or possibly 6?) storey building next to the steps leading up to Sacre-Coeur. Lots of other options in that area too. I hope you find something!

Thanks for the recommendation! I also heard that macaroons from LadurΓ©e are to die for! I guess I’ll have to try both!

Lucky you!!! I am so envious. There are fun shops everywhere with buttons and lace and ribbon. Bring an empty suitcase and fill it!
