One-Of-A-Kind Sewing Illustration Giveaway

When I was a journalism student at The University of Miami, one of my college professors used to say, “if you want to smell like poop, hang around poop.” Profound, right? But it’s true, and I’ve used the quote since to clutter my life with things that make me happy – a vase of fresh flowers, inspirational books, pictures of family, and illustrations of artists that I like. Even if rain pours torrentially outside, having those things in close proximity keeps my mood up.

One artist I recently came across was Joanna Baker, owner of the Etsy shop, Joanna Baker. Her work is sprightly and vivacious and she’s here today to offer you something very very cool. I wish I could participate! Joanna made 3 one-of-a-kind sewing illustrations that she is giving away. To win the three piece, all you have to do is like both Madalynne and Joanna’s Facebook page and leave a comment saying you did so as well as your contact information. That’s it! Contest ends Friday, October 4th, when a winner will be chosen, notified, and featured shortly after. Also, contest is open internationally and you can still enter even if you’re already a fan of Madalynne on Facebook.

These are absolutely beautiful! I’d love to win these. Thank you for the opportunity.

Like Hanne, I can’t get the FB link to work, but I have liked your FB page,a and am following Joanna on Twitter, on Pinterest and on Etsy – basically I am now stalking her. I don’t think it’s your link that’s wrong though. I tried to link through via Joanna’s blog page and it didn’t work either.

You can contact me via my blog, as I’ve commented via Google+. Thanks again!

Hmm… that’s weird. I have updated it twice and it keeps breaking on me. I just updated it again and even if it breaks, everyone will be considered entered as long as they leave a comment.

Not entering, but still had to comment on things professors say! One of the more memorable quotes from my grad school days (~10 years ago, so not like this was uttered in the 70s) was when a friend was finishing her MS and not staying for a PhD. Disappointed advisor said, “Look, do you want to be a Chief or just an Indian?”
