I’m a huge advocate for handmade garments and it has become more true as I get older, but the reality of having a completely handmade closet well, isn’t a reality. There will be times, and plenty of them, when I purchase RTW clothing as well as other products. And you know what? That’s okay! When we get into the depth of fall, I WILL be buying a new coat to keep me toasty through April. But when we pull out our cash or plastic to pay for our manufactured items, why not try to save, right?
If you’re a lover of Pinterest, you’re going to like this new platform I discovered – SnatchThat. Founded by college friends Kelly Leonard and Grace Ortkiese, SnatchThat allows members “snatch” items from retailers from around the web. The “SnatchThat” button lives in your toolbar just like your “Pin It” button, so as soon as you “snatch” an item, it’s saved to your virtual closet. When the item goes on sale, you’re alerted via email so you can “snatch” that item you’ve been coveting. A few other cool things about SnatchThat:
And guess what? Grace and Kelly are giving away the skirt show in the first image of this post (I wish I could participate in this giveaway!) To enter:
After, leave a comment saying whether you “snatch” and/or Facebook “liked”/tweeted about the giveaway. The contest will be open until Friday, September 20th, when a winner will be chosen and featured shortly after. Contest is open internationally.
