These are the things that make my day sparkle.
I smiled from ear to ear when Lizz of A Good Wardrobe asked me to guest post on her blog two weeks ago. I expected positive comments and kudos from my simple tutorial on slashing and opening but never expected that Craftzine, a major crafting blog, would pick up my post and feature it on their website. Seeing my work on their site, my smile spread from ear to ear and to my toes and my nose (too korny to say? My apologies). I often write my posts thinking, “Is anyone listening? Does anyone care? Is my blogging and designing stupid? Am I being narcissistic for posting all these photos of myself?” But it is what I absolutely and completely love to do. It’s my raison d’être. I believe that if I wasn’t a technical designer, I would be a philanthropist and make people feel their happiest every single day. I vicariously live this desired life of mine by sharing what I have learned with you. I discovered early on that many of the tricks of this industry and hobby can’t be found in textbook but by experience. I’ve been lucky enough to be able to work for an amazing company and soak up all of this hidden information. But you all deserve to know too. I want every one to be able to draft, sew, and wear spectacular clothing.
So I thank you all again for consistently reading my words. I have a lot planned for Madalynne (Etsy shop, online patterns, lots and lots of tutorials, book, etc) and I hope this was only the first of many good things to come.
Oh, and I won the Liebster award from Alessa of FarbenFruede. Thank you lady. You truly are a doll.
And lastly my loves, happy Saturday! It’s my favorite day of the week.
