Spring is here my loves. Spring is here. Since its arrival on Tuesday, my sandals, sleeveless tops, and short skirts have been out and in full bloom. It was so refreshing for my arms and toes to get a breath of fresh air. It has been way too long since a breeze has hit them. Fifty degree mornings and seventy degrees afternoons just make life more chipper, don’t they? I definitely have a swag in my step. And because of the change of season, my week couldn’t have gone any better. For the first time in a long time, Friday came without me coming down with some sort of viral or bacterial infection (yay!).

What’s up for this weekend in my world? Well… lots and lots of normal stuff. I’ll be truing and drafting patterns (for my future Etsy store), reading about armhole and sleeves (for next weeks sleeve block post), dinner with friends, a Skype date with my brother James (he’s such a gentleman), a few watchings of My Week With Marilynn (is it good?), all while getting at least 11 hours of sleep in between (I need my beauty rest).

Oh and it’s my dads birthday on Sunday. I don’t know how old he will be (sorry pappa) but I do know what my gift to him will be. I can’t divulge much but can say that it involves Dr. Suess and me. I’ll tell you all about it next week.

What do you have planned? I’d loved to hear about it.

Lastly, here is a peek at my week, just for fun…

The dress. Estimated time of finishing? Approximately one week. All that is needed is the bottom band, sleeves, and zipper. Exciting!

Yay for spring! I haven’t quite dared to go out bare-legged yet, but short sleeves were fine the last couple of days! I love spring!

Can’t wait to see the finished dress and your new shop! I have a date with my brother James as well! He comes over every Sunday. So glad you’re feeling well.

What a coincidence that your brothers name is James as well!

Love that treehouse! So cool! Sounds like you’ve got a fun weekend planned! My Week with Marilyn was good, but really sad. Let’s see– I have class tomorrow morning, then I am supposed to give a friend a knitting lesson. Maybe I’ll go to the movies tomorrow night, then Sunday church in the morning and Mad Men at night!

I work part-time on Saturday and Sunday. In between I’ll do housework and recover from the seasonal cold that hit me this week. If I can find any openings, I’ll fill out job applications, too. Normal stuff, but made better by the open window, warm sun, and refreshing breeze.

What I really want is to come explore your tree house. Can you go up into the tower?

Oh no! You got the same cold as I. I hope you feel better and enjoy the lovely warm weather.

Isn’t the tree house amazing? I’m in love with it too

Love your pictures! And if that’s an aircraft carrier at the Navy Yard, then at some point it probably came from my previous employer down in VA πŸ™‚

What a coincidence. It truly is a small world.
